US dispensaries: Updating dispensary tax information

Updating or verifying your tax information

Changes to your tax information can be submitted by visiting the Business financials page in your Dispensary settings.

Once your account is verified by our payment processing partner, changes to your tax information in the platform are limited; specifically, changes to a tax ID, business name, or tax classification.

As a rule of thumb, if any fields on the Business financials page are locked and can’t be edited, our team will need a completed W-9 signed by the account owner so we can update your account with Stripe directly. Completed forms can be sent to our Customer Success team directly at support@fullscript.com.

Note:

Dispensaries must stay with the person or entity who opened the account. We can’t accommodate changes in ownership of an account at this time and a new dispensary must be created. We’re unable to transfer logins, financial report history removal, treatment plan removal, or patient/client removal to other parties on your behalf. However, our support team can assist with generating patient lists to assist with setting up new patient accounts (without supplement plans or order history) in a new dispensary.

Form W-9 signatures

W-9s must be signed and submitted by the dispensary owner or business representative listed on the Business financials page.

Financial address changes

Changes to your financial address can be made from the Business financials page. These changes can be submitted independently; a signed W-9 is not required for financial address changes.

Note:

It’s important to keep this address updated as this address is used to send physical copies of Form 1099-Ks, if eligible.

Unverified Stripe accounts & disabled payouts

Tax information fields may be unlocked if your account can’t be verified or is unverified due to incorrect or out-of-date tax details on hand. When this happens, we’ll notify you in your Fullscript account that payouts are at risk of being paused and direct you to the page where you can correct and resubmit your tax information. To avoid any disruption to your payouts, tax information must be provided within seven days of this notice.

Note:

Errors in the spelling of your first or last name and date of birth will cause Stripe verification to fail. Legal names should match the spelling as it appears on your government-issued IDs and not include professional designation abbreviations.
