Refunds after a credit card is deactivated
Patients
Providers
If your credit card was canceled or deactivated after placing an order, your refund will still be processed automatically. However, where and how the funds arrive will depend on your credit card issuer.
Refund routing
Most credit card issuers will accept and reroute the refunded amount to your new account. In many cases, even if your physical card was canceled or replaced, the account associated with it remains open. This allows your bank to match the refund to your current card or deposit it into your account.
You don’t need to contact Fullscript to receive your refund. Once issued, your financial institution handles the rest.
When to contact your credit card issuer
Contacting your credit card issuer may be a good idea in some of the following situations:
- Your account was permanently closed.
- You’ve waited more than 5 business days since your refund was issued and haven’t received it.
- You’re unsure where the refund was deposited.
Your issuer can confirm the status of the refund or provide next steps if there’s a delay.
