Editing patient profiles

Providers

Providers and their staff can update patient details directly from a patient’s profile, including names, email addresses (some limitations apply), and individual discounts. Once patients have logged into your dispensary, they can change their name and email address.

Patient details are part of a broader patient profile that can also include labs, wearable data, and wellness insights when available.

Note:

No-profit dispensaries can’t manage patient discounts.

Editing a patient name and email address

Providers and their staff can update patient names at any time from a patient profile. Patient email addresses can only be changed if the patient has never logged into Fullscript using that email address.

If an email address needs to be corrected after a patient has logged in, contact our team for assistance.

To edit a patient’s name or email address:

  1. Click Patients in the navigation bar.
The Patients page in Fullscript with the Patients tab highlighted in the navigation bar.
  1. Search for and select the patient.
  2. Click Patient details.

Note:

Patients can update their names from their account settings. Changes made by patients automatically update patient profiles in your dispensary.

Managing patient discounts

Practitioners can add or edit individual patient discounts and 1st product order discounts.

Tip!

To set up a dispensary or auto refill & save discount, visit the Discounts and margin tab of the Financials and discounts page.

Dispensaries set up to make a profit can offer individual patient discounts that stack with the dispensary discount to increase patient savings. Individual discounts only apply to the selected patient and can be updated at any time. Increasing a patient’s discount decreases your profit margin.

To edit an individual patient discount:

  1. Click the Patients tab.
  2. Search for and select the patient.
  3. Click Patient details.
  4. In the Patient details drawer, click Edit.
  5. On the Edit patient screen, select a discount percentage from the Discounts dropdown.

  1. Click Save.

Tip!

Consider offering a 1st product order discount to encourage a patient’s first order. To enable this discount from a patient’s profile, click + 1st product order discount and select a discount percentage. Increasing a patient’s discount decreases your margin percentage and vice versa.
