Registering for labs

Providers

Overview

With labs on Fullscript, you can seamlessly order and manage lab testing alongside your supplement recommendations—all from one platform. Access top-tier specialty and blood labs in a single catalog, place orders in under a minute, and enhance patient care with a streamlined testing experience. Getting started is simple: register for labs in just one step. This guide will walk you through the registration process so you can begin ordering tests.

Note:

Labs are available to patients in the U.S., except in NY, NJ, RI, and HI. Patients in U.S. territories aren’t currently eligible.

How to register for labs

Registering for labs is quick and takes less than a minute. Each provider in your practice must register individually to access and recommend testing. While admins and staff can’t complete the registration on behalf of providers, they will be able to place orders once registration is complete.

To register for labs:

  1. In the main left hand navigation, find Labs under Catalog.
  1. Click Register for labs in the top banner of the lab catalog.
  1. In the next screen, confirm your first and last name, license and NPI information. If you don’t have an NPI number, click Next.

Note:

This information helps determine your ordering access with partner labs, but if you don’t have an NPI or license—or choose not to enter them—you can still access labs by opting into the authorization network to recommend testing. Be sure to enter your exact name as registered with your personal NPI number, as partner labs can’t process registrations using a business name or practice/group NPI.

4. If your address isn’t already on file, enter your clinic address. Some lab companies require that your business address matches your state of licensure.

Note:

If you’re located in a restricted state (NY, NJ, RI, or HI), you can still register, opt in to use labs, and send recommendations to patients in other states. You’ll just need to acknowledge that testing can’t be sent to patients in restricted states.

5. On the next screen, review and agree to the Fullscript Labs terms of service, then click Next.

6. Review and agree to the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) in the DocuSign eSignature window. Click Agree and Continue, or select other actions from the drop-down menu.

7. Scroll to review the DocuSign eSignature document and click the yellow Sign box at the bottom under Covered Entity.

8. When you’re done, click Adopt and Sign in the bottom left corner.

9. Click Submit when completed, then click Next

Note:

If you require the authorization network to recommend labs, the next page will prompt you to agree to those specific terms.

Labs will be available immediately after you complete your signatures. To request a copy of your signed BAA, contact our labs support team.

Authorization network

At Fullscript, we understand that providers come from a range of backgrounds and specialties. Whether you’re a licensed MD or a dedicated health coach, we recognize that not all providers have the same lab ordering access. To bridge this gap, we provide access to an authorization network—a solution that allows providers with limited lab ordering access to participate in their clients’ health journeys through a third party network of clinicians that review and order testing.

The authorization network costs $12.50 per specialty test kit or blood panel.

Billing and payment

We offer competitive pricing on all lab tests in our catalog. All lab testing on Fullscript is cash-pay only and is not eligible for insurance reimbursement, including direct insurance claims and retroactive reimbursement through a Superbill. Fullscript also does not determine HSA/FSA eligibility for lab tests—patients should check with their plan administrator to confirm coverage.
