The Rx Tool
Use the Rx tool to send personalized treatment plans to your patients by email and SMS message. With prescriptions, patients can log in to their accounts to view and place orders from their active prescriptions at any time, from their preferred device.
The Rx tool is integrated with our Catalog so you can search and add products as you go, or choose from your Favorites. We recommend saving your go-to protocols as Templates to write treatment plans faster and maximize efficiency.
Tip! Treatment plan is an umbrella term for prescriptions or recommendations. Change Dispensary Terminology in your Account Settings beneath the Terminology heading.

Begin by linking the prescription to a patient. Select Add a patient to choose from existing patients or create a new patient. By sending a treatment plan, patients will be prompted to log in or create an account to view the plan and place an order.

Add a Personalized Message
Personalize the treatment plan with a message to the patient. Consider recapping the appointment, or providing more information about products included in the prescription.
Share resources that support the treatment plan. Think reference guides, infographics, handouts, etc.
To add attachments, select Attach then add content from Your library or Fullscript curated materials.

Select Add products to access the Catalog within the Rx tool. Search by supplement type, ingredients, brand, or product name, and make use of advanced filters to refine your results.
When added to a treatment plan, you can select the container size or increase the number of units recommended to purchase. Patients can adjust the number of units while placing their order.
Custom Dosage Instructions
Products added to a treatment plan will default to advanced dosage instructions with the suppliers' instructions prefilled. Modify the dosage instructions as required, based on patient needs.
To customize dosage instructions:
- Select the pencil icon.
- Modify the amount, serving type, frequency, or duration.
- Select the checkmark icon to save.
Tip! Save your custom dosage instructions as the default dosage instructions for a product by selecting the more options menu, then Save as default dosage.
Reverting to Supplier Dosage
Supplier dosage instructions are auto-filled by default, but can be overwritten by saving your own custom dosage instructions. Revert to supplier instructions within the same menu, by selecting Supplier dosage.

We recommend setting a duration to help patients calculate how many units of a product they'll need to follow their treatment plan without running out or buying too much.

Note: Duration is only available with custom dosage instructions.

When you've finished, scroll to the bottom of the page and choose how you'd like to share the treatment plan with the patient.
Select Send prescription or Prescribe and place order to send a prescription to a patient.
Sends the treatment plan to the patient's email address and mobile phone, if a phone number has been provided.
Tip! Add phone numbers as you create new patients to send treatment plans by SMS message. Or, select the pencil icon from the bottom left corner to add a phone number to the patient's account.

Sends the treatment plan to the patient and begins an In-Office Checkout, where you can place the order now and get products to your patients sooner.
Select Prescribe and place order to place an order on the patient's behalf.
Save time building prescriptions by starting with a framework of your go-to protocols. Templates can include products with custom dosage instructions, messages, and attachments.
Start by building out a protocol then select the arrow next to Send prescription at the bottom of your screen. Save as template and name it for future use.
