Updating Tax Information
The tax information collected to set up a dispensary can be reviewed in the Tax page within the Dispensary Settings, as shown below. It's essential that this information is kept up to date to ensure your account remains verified with our payment processor. Additionally, this information is used to generate form 1099-K, should you meet 1099-K Eligibility Thresholds.

Note: Stripe, our payment processor, helps us disburse funds to you, and any organization that sends funds to individuals or businesses is required to collect and verify information about these customers.
Requesting Changes to Verified Accounts
Once your tax information has been verified, not all changes can be made directly through the platform. You may need to contact our Customer Success team, who will make the changes with our payment processor, Stripe, directly.
An error banner will appear on your screen if changes aren't saved. In these cases, contact our Customer Success team with a completed W-9 form to support the request. In all cases, W-9 Forms should be signed by the dispensary owner.
Common Change Requests & W-9 Requirements
A completed W-9 is required reflecting the new EIN or SSN for the dispensary, signed by the dispensary owner.
Business Name Changes
A completed W-9 is required reflecting the new name of the business and current Tax ID, signed by the dispensary owner.
Business Type Changes
When changing your account type from Individual/Sole Proprietor to Business (C Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, Trust/Estate, or LLC), or vice versa, complete a W-9 with current tax information reflected - ie. new business name, address, EIN/SSN, etc.
Business Type change requests can be sent to email@example.com with a completed W-9 signed by the dispensary owner. Please clearly state the changes you are requesting.
W-9's must be signed and submitted by the dispensary owner who provided their personal information to verify the account. To review these details, go to the Tax page within your Dispensary Settings.
W-9 signatures are validated against the information displayed in the Tax page.
Financial Address Changes
Changes to your financial address can be changed from the Tax page and submitted directly in most cases. You should not need to contact Customer Success for these changes. A W-9 is not required for financial address changes.
Spelling and DOB entry errors made in the Personal Information section, as shown above, do not require a W-9. However, you will need to contact our Customer Success team if you have already submitted your information. In these cases, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org outlining the necessary correction(s).
