Canada Post workers voted to strike October 22 with rolling strikes affecting mail and parcel delivery within Canada. Service was restored November 25th, after the Senate passed legislation forcing Canada Post workers back to work. As a precaution, we made some changes to our shipping services at no additional charge to our customers to avoid potentially significant delays with Canadian shipments.
During the strike, all orders were rerouted to UPS with the exception of orders shipped to P.O. Boxes which could only be serviced by Canada Post.
Due to a significant backlog in the delivery of mail and parcels, many of our orders are still being shipped via UPS at this time, but with the back to work legislation being passed, some shipments (namely standard shipments) have been redirected back to Canada Post.
P.O. Box shipments will continue to be shipped through Canada Post. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee shipping times to P.O. Box addresses, but so far the impact on our customers has been quite minimal. We would advise to using an alternate mailing address during this time if at all possible to minimize the possibility of any delays.
We will continue to keep our customers updated as the status of this strike progresses!
